Personal experiences with grief and trauma led me to realize I wanted to help guide others through their grief journeys. I am a certified grief and bereavement counselor but I spend my days working as a counselor in my local school district. I also assist others outside of my day job as a death doula, which means I help patients and their families prepare for the end of life. My experiences have taught me to embrace the positives in life and enjoy the journey. I love being able to share my message as we all deal with this crazy thing called life.
My usual existential crisis is whether I'm more of a cat person or a dog person. An avid history buff, I enjoy writing, reading, crocheting or knitting, bingo, and a variety of other activities popular with the over-80 set.
My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive;
and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.
